This was to be our second run in February. This run was in Prospect Park, Brooklyn, honoring Al Gordon, benefactor and board member of NYRR, who only began running in his 80s.
It was a beautiful, seasonally warm day. We began our race together as we usually do, and would meet up at the end. The race began on Center Drive, and turned left on to East Drive, up the hill. Whoa! That was difficult! (Considering to get to the start of the race, we had to walk a mile in the park). Up and over the hill and around to West Drive, and down hill, finishing where we began on Center Drive. Nice morning for a race, now off to breakfast at Jackson Hole!
